Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches in the country. Being the oldest Engineering branch in the academic institutions in the world, it has a lot of diversity right from Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Science, Transportation, Hydrology and Construction Engineering, etc. A Civil Engineering has a major role for the development of nation by building roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, infrastructure which are essential for rapid growth of any country. All the labs are well setup and equipped. For better awareness and interest of a student, continuous interaction with companies are being organized at frequent intervals in the form of special guest lectures, seminars, workshops and site visits etc. The Department also encourages its students to engage in co-curricular activities, essential for the overall development. The Department has fully equipped Labs with mechanized equipment including Structures Lab, Soil Mechanics Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Concrete Lab, Transportation Lab, Surveying Lab, Engineering Geology Lab, strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Computer Aided Design & Drawing Lab, Water Supply & Treatment Plant etc

M1:  To provide basic knowledge of science, technology and civil engineering
M2:  To provide civil engineers with technical skills and with ethical values
M3:  To promote entrepreneur skill by conducting supportive co-curricular activities

  • PEO1. Provide socially responsible,environment friendly solutions to Civil engineering related broad-based problems adapting professional ethics.

  • PEO2. Adapt state-of-the-art Civil engineering broad- based technologies to work in multidisciplinary work environments .

  • PEO3. Solve broad-based problems individually and as a team member communicating effectively in the world of work.

  • PSO1. Construction Planning and Designing: perform optimal civil engineering construction,planning and designing activities of desired quality at optimal cost.

  • PSO2. Construction Execution and Maintenance: Execute civil engineering construction and maintenanc using relevant materials and equipments.
